The Iconic Fashion Styles Worn by V from BTS

V, also known as Kim Taehyung, has long been known for his captivating stage presence and distinct visual appeal. As a member of the globally renowned boy band BTS, V’s fashion choices have earned him recognition as a style icon in the K-pop industry and beyond. Whether on stage, at red carpet events, or during casual outings, V’s fashion sense is bold, eclectic, and effortlessly chic, making him one of the most influential figures in modern fashion. From luxurious designer pieces to vintage-inspired looks, here’s a look at the key fashion styles worn by V that have inspired fans and fashion enthusiasts worldwide.

1. Elegance with a Touch of Edginess

V is known for his ability to mix high fashion with a laid-back, edgy aesthetic, often creating a look that’s both sophisticated and relaxed. Whether he’s wearing a tailored suit or a casual ensemble, there’s always a sense of refined elegance in his outfits. His red carpet appearances are a prime example of this, where he often dons sleek, well-fitted suits with subtle details that set him apart from other celebrities. For example, at the 2021 Grammy Awards, V wore a chic black suit by Celine, paired with a simple white shirt and styled with a pair of black boots—classic, but with just the right amount of understated elegance.

But V doesn’t shy away from adding a hint of edginess to his looks. He’s frequently spotted wearing leather jackets, oversized coats, and statement accessories that add an element of boldness to his more formal outfits. This fusion of polished sophistication and streetwear-inspired elements is one of V’s signature styles.

2. Vintage-Inspired Aesthetics

V’s fashion frequently draws inspiration from past decades, with a particularly strong connection to *1970s and *1980s fashion trends. He’s been seen rocking vintage band tees, plaid shirts, and high-waisted trousers that evoke the spirit of retro fashion. In one of his most memorable street-style moments, V paired a colorful graphic tee with wide-legged trousers, creating a relaxed yet chic look that mirrored the carefree vibe of 70s bohemian style.

The vintage influence also extends to accessories. V is often seen wearing retro sunglasses, wide-brimmed hats, and gold chains, which add a touch of old-school glamour to his outfits. His ability to take these retro elements and reinterpret them with a modern twist makes his style feel fresh, yet nostalgic.

3. Bold and Playful Colors

V isn’t afraid to experiment with color. He’s often seen wearing bold, vibrant hues that contrast with his more neutral wardrobe staples. Whether it’s a bright red shirt or a pastel-colored suit, V knows how to make a statement with his clothing choices. His playful approach to color also extends to his accessories. From neon green sneakers to brightly colored scarves, V often adds unexpected pops of color to his outfits, helping him stand out even in casual settings.

One notable moment that showcased V’s love for color was when he wore a vivid purple sweater from the brand Loewe, paired with black pants and simple accessories. The sweater, which featured abstract patterns, allowed V to exude a playful energy while keeping the overall look sophisticated. This love for color makes him one of the most fun and experimental dressers in the K-pop world.

4. Unconventional Layering and Silhouettes

V is a master of unconventional layering, often mixing and matching unexpected pieces to create visually interesting outfits. He’s been seen combining oversized jackets with tight-fitting shirts or layering a turtleneck under a sleeveless vest. His unique ability to blend various silhouettes results in fashion-forward outfits that push the boundaries of traditional menswear.

For example, V’s style often includes a juxtaposition of loose and fitted pieces—like pairing a voluminous trench coat with a form-fitting turtleneck sweater, creating a balanced look that’s both comfortable and striking. This approach to layering allows him to experiment with textures and proportions, which is one of the reasons why his style is so unpredictable and exciting to watch.

5. Designer Collaborations and Luxury Fashion

V’s fashion is closely aligned with high-end designers, and he has a particular affinity for luxury fashion brands like Celine, Louis Vuitton, and Dior. His collaborations with these prestigious labels have earned him a reputation as a true fashion maven.

As a global ambassador for Celine, V has been seen wearing a wide range of pieces from the brand’s collections, showcasing his affinity for minimalist yet elegant designs. He’s also frequently spotted in Louis Vuitton and Dior outfits, where he experiments with bold designs and luxurious fabrics. These high-end collaborations allow V to mix cutting-edge trends with timeless style, often opting for sleek, clean lines paired with luxurious materials such as leather, cashmere, and silk.

V’s connection with luxury fashion isn’t just about wearing designer labels; it’s about embracing the art of styling. He knows how to elevate even the simplest items, turning basic tees or jackets into statement pieces. His effortless pairing of high-end brands with casual, everyday pieces has solidified his status as a trendsetter.

6. Androgynous and Gender-Fluid Styles

V has often been praised for his androgynous looks, embracing clothing that challenges traditional gender norms. Whether it’s wearing a flowy blouse with dramatic sleeves or donning a perfectly tailored skirt suit, V is not afraid to step outside the conventional boundaries of menswear. He’s been known to wear soft, feminine silhouettes with an air of confidence, blending the lines between masculine and feminine fashion in a way that feels natural and stylish.

This fluid approach to fashion has been seen in many of his recent outfits, where he pairs softer, more feminine elements with sharp, structured pieces. One memorable moment was when he wore a lavender silk blouse with a bold black blazer at the 2021 Met Gala, creating a perfect mix of delicacy and strength. This ability to confidently experiment with gender-fluid fashion is one of the reasons why V is considered a true trailblazer.

7. Casual Cool: Street Style and Everyday Wear

When it comes to casual looks, V’s street style is the epitome of effortless cool. His everyday outfits often include simple, well-tailored jeans, oversized sweaters, and graphic tees. He’s also a fan of comfortable sneakers, often pairing them with laid-back yet stylish outfits.

A standout example of V’s casual street style was when he wore a loose-fitting oversized hoodie with wide-leg pants, paired with chunky sneakers and a beanie. The look was simple, but V’s attention to detail and choice of high-quality fabrics made it feel elevated. His street style shows that fashion doesn’t always need to be complicated—it’s about finding the right balance of comfort and style.

V’s fashion style is a captivating blend of boldness, sophistication, and creativity. Whether he’s walking the red carpet, posing for magazine covers, or casually strolling through the streets, his unique approach to fashion continues to inspire fans worldwide. With his impeccable ability to mix high fashion, vintage aesthetics, gender-fluid pieces, and casual comfort, V remains a true fashion icon—one whose influence is set to last well beyond 2024.

The Puma RS-X and Suede lines have been given new life in 2024 with retro-inspired designs and futuristic updates, such as new color-blocking techniques and lightweight materials. But Puma’s biggest strength in 2024 is its collaboration game—working with artists like Rihanna and pop culture icons like Jay-Z (via his Roc Nation label), Puma has become a cultural force. The launch of the Puma x Balmain collection is just one example of how Puma has solidified its role as a high-fashion brand in the sneaker market.

2024’s Top Trends: A Look Ahead at the Styles Defining the Year

As we step into 2024, the fashion world is buzzing with new ideas, innovative designs, and a resurgence of iconic trends that celebrate individuality, sustainability, and bold expression. From streetwear influences to a return to refined elegance, 2024 is set to be a year where fashion embraces a fusion of the past, present, and future. Here’s a look at the top fashion trends we can expect to dominate the year.

1. Tech-Inspired Fashion

The intersection of fashion and technology is continuing to evolve in 2024. This year, expect to see an increase in tech-inspired fashion, with innovative textiles, smart clothing, and digital accessories taking center stage. Designers are experimenting with fabrics that change color, textures that respond to movement, and garments that integrate wearable technology, such as built-in lighting or heating systems. Additionally, digital fashion is becoming more prominent, with virtual clothing making its way into online gaming and virtual reality spaces, allowing consumers to express themselves in both physical and digital worlds.

2. Sustainability at the Forefront

Sustainability remains one of the most important trends in fashion. In 2024, the emphasis on eco-friendly fashion will continue to grow, with brands moving toward more sustainable practices, such as using recycled materials, reducing waste, and adopting eco-conscious production methods. This year will see an increase in circular fashion models, where consumers are encouraged to buy fewer, better-quality items that can be reused or recycled. Upcycled materials, natural dyes, and local craftsmanship will be at the heart of many collections, making sustainability not just a trend but a movement.

3. Bold Colors and Prints

2024 is all about embracing vibrant colors and playful prints, a refreshing contrast to the neutral tones of previous years. Bold, primary colors—such as electric blues, fiery reds, and bright yellows—will dominate both casual and formal wear. Think color-blocked outfits, oversized statement pieces, and head-to-toe color ensembles. Additionally, graphic prints, including abstract art, retro patterns, and animal prints, will continue to make waves, bringing an eclectic and fun vibe to fashion.

4. Maximalism

After years of minimalism, maximalism is making a major comeback in 2024. This trend is all about bold expression and embracing excess. Expect to see layered accessories, exaggerated silhouettes, and rich textures in a wide variety of colors. From voluminous sleeves to oversized outerwear and chunky footwear, maximalism invites fashion lovers to express their creativity without restraint. This trend emphasizes personal style and individuality, allowing people to mix and match styles, patterns, and colors freely.

5. Gender Fluidity

2024 is expected to see a rise in gender-fluid fashion, with designs that transcend traditional gender norms. Clothing will be increasingly unisex, with brands creating collections that cater to all gender identities. Fluid silhouettes, oversized garments, and accessories that challenge the boundaries of masculinity and femininity will dominate runways and streetwear. Fashion in 2024 is all about embracing the freedom to wear what feels authentic, regardless of societal expectations.

6. Nostalgic Revivals

Nostalgia continues to be a powerful influence on fashion in 2024, with a special focus on early-2000s styles making a comeback. Low-rise jeans, cargo pants, and butterfly clips are being reimagined with a modern twist, while logos and graphic tees return in full force. 90s-inspired sneakers, platform shoes, and statement jackets are also part of this revival. Additionally, vintage styles from the 70s and 80s are being reinterpreted for a new generation, offering a fun and nostalgic way to embrace the past while staying current.

7. Athleisure Reinvented

Athleisure is being taken to new heights in 2024, with a greater focus on both performance and style. While comfy, sporty clothing like leggings, sweatshirts, and sneakers remain staples, designers are pushing the boundaries by incorporating more luxury and high-fashion elements into these pieces. Expect to see elevated tracksuits, sleek athleisure-inspired dresses, and stylish activewear that transitions effortlessly from the gym to the street. Functionality meets style, and comfort is now considered an essential part of any chic ensemble.

8. Tailoring and Structured Silhouettes

While casual and relaxed styles will still dominate in 2024, there is also a strong resurgence of tailoring and more structured silhouettes. Sharp blazers, tailored trousers, and elegant coats are making a return, but with a twist. The traditional business suit is being modernized with oversized fits, bold colors, and creative fabrics. Think of the power suit, but more relaxed, with an emphasis on comfort, yet still maintaining an air of sophistication.

9. Statement Footwear

Footwear in 2024 is taking a bold turn. Chunky, oversized shoes will continue to dominate, with platform boots, flatform sandals, and chunky sneakers adding height and personality to outfits. High heels are getting reimagined with striking shapes and architectural designs, making them both functional and fashion-forward. Expect statement boots and unique footwear designs to become a key part of personal expression, with more emphasis placed on creativity and comfort.

10. Modern Romanticism

2024 will see a shift towards modern romanticism, with fashion embracing softer, more ethereal styles. Feminine silhouettes featuring voluminous skirts, flowing dresses, and delicate lace details will dominate collections. However, the modern take on romanticism isn’t all about pastels and frills—it will incorporate more daring elements, like sheer fabrics, metallic accents, and dramatic ruffles, blending femininity with an edge.

The fashion landscape of 2024 is set to be one of exciting contrasts—where innovation meets nostalgia, and sustainability goes hand-in-hand with bold expression. From gender-fluid designs to luxury athleisure and vibrant colors, fashion this year will empower individuals to embrace their personal style while being mindful of the planet. Whether through new technologies or returning to vintage trends, 2024 promises to be a dynamic year that celebrates individuality, creativity, and inclusivity.

Louis Vuitton Unveils a Luxe Limited-Edition Watch

There are few things more luxurious than a high-quality timepiece, and Louis Vuitton’slatest Escale watch proves just that.

Inspired by the Maison’s iconic trunks, the new dial is crafted with time-honoured traditions of guilloché engraving and grand feu enamel techniques. Both practices are centuries old, and result in one-of-a-kind designs that include intricate, repetitive patterns and a lustrous, smooth sheen.

Between its luxe sapphire display, platinum case, 18-karat white gold hands and calfskin leather strap, it’s no surprise that this release is extremely limited. So much so that only 50 of these timepieces have been created — which is indicated by a discreet rose gold plaque on each watch, forever reminding the wearer of its exclusivity.

Capri Puts Versace and Jimmy Choo Up for Sale

The company is said to be working with Barclays to sell off the luxury brands as it focuses in on the Michael Kors turnaround.

U.S. judge has blocked the pending $8.5 billion merger of U.S. luxury groups Tapestry and Capri Holdings a victory for the Federal Trade Commissionthat is a likely death blow for the deal. The FTC argued at an eight-day trial in New York that the merger would eliminate fierce head-to-head competition between the top two U.S. handbag makers and create a massive company with the power to unfairly raise prices.

U.S. District Judge Jennifer Rochon rejected the companies’ defense of the deal, including their argument that handbags are nonessential items whose price consumers can control by not buying them if they become too expensive. That argument “ignores that handbags are important to many women, not only to express themselves through fashion but to aid in their daily lives,” the judge said.

Tapestry said it believes the ruling is incorrect and plans to appeal. “We face competitive pressures from both lower- and higher-priced products and continue to believe this transaction is pro-competitive and pro-consumer,” the company said in a statement.

Henry Liu, director of the FTC’s Bureau of Competition, called the decision “a victory not only for the FTC, but also for consumers across the country seeking access to quality handbags at affordable prices.”

The deal would have brought six brands under one roof: Tapestry’s Coach, Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman; and Capri’s Versace, Jimmy Choo and Michael Kors. Tapestry argued at trial that the deal was spurred by an intensely competitive U.S. handbag industry and was needed to fight back against European players , which are increasing market share.

The ruling in effect permanently blocks the proposed deal, Tapestry’s lawyers said in court documents, because it would require the deal to pass another lengthy review by the FTC which would stretch past the deal’s termination date of Feb. 10.
